What a day!!!  After three straight runner-up finishes, Brent MacDougall came through in the big game!  With a new team in front of him, they had the right stuff to win the final of the Canadian Postal Employees Curling Classic.  One down coming home they made the cold draw to the button to tie, then played a near perfect 11th end to win the game by one.  Brent is now a three time champion, with Rick and Terry as two time champs.  Halle made his first Classic, well, a Classic...He was not only on the winning team but was voted all-star lead as well.  Congratulations to the entire team!!

The banquet saw some awards presented for All-Star team, Most Sportsmanlike and the Hall-of Fame award as well.  The All-Star team was, Skip: Mark Pouliot, Third: Dave Badowich, Second: Frank Wilt, Lead: Halle Johnson.  The Most Sportsmanlike team was the team from P.E.I., Bobby Cameron, Eldon Kilbride, Regan Kenny, and Mike Bernard.  The Hall of Fame inductee was Michel Lariviere from La Belle Province!!!  He played in this years Classic as well as being co-ordinator for Quebec...kind of a triple duty, many congratulations from me and your fellow curlers and volunteers!!!

See you all next year in Surrey B.C.
